Betway Colorado Review

On their website, Betway claims to be the best in the business for online sports and casino entertainment. We’ll put those claims to the test as we check out their new sportsbook in Colorado, released since the passing of Proposition DD in November 2019.

We love a good promotion at Colorado-Betting.com, which is why the first thing we checked among Betway CO’s offerings was the promotion page. Sadly, it has to be said that Betway has one of the lowest offers for new customers that we’ve ever come across.

Basically, if you sign-up to Betway and deposit a minimum of $10.00 into your account, you will be rewarded with a risk-free bet up to the value of $250. Just place a bet, and if it loses, your bet value up to the maximum amount mentioned will be added to your account in free bet credits. Be quick though, this offer expires on 12/31/2022.

For existing customers, they do offer some decent promotions. Quite often each week, they will have a number of featured games. If you bet $10.00 on these fixtures, they’ll give you a free bet credit worth $5.00.

You can access Betway on three platforms; on your desktop computer, via their apps, or via a mobile browser. Here are our experiences with each of those methods:

The desktop layout is very nice. It’s intuitive, easy to navigate, and there is a helpful search feature to help you find what you want. There are also easy-to-access links to help sections located at the bottom of the webpage. We approve.

There are two apps available, one on the Google Play store, and the other on Apple’s App Store. We checked out the Android app using a One Plus Nord 5G.

The app is just as good as the website, if not slightly better and this is purely because of the portable element in that you can resume your games/wagers wherever you go. Just log in once, and you’ll be able to access your account whenever you need to. As for the layout of the app itself, the navigation is a dream and there were no significant issues we found.

The mobile browser is laid out similarly to the apps, but unfortunately not as intuitive or responsive as we’d expect. It’s also annoying that when you click to view all sports that are available to be bet on, they are organized via popularity rather than alphabetically. This method of organization makes things more difficult to find as popularity is entirely subjective.

For those who are worried about gambling too much, you can actually set lower deposit limits than those above. It’s a great way to keep in control of your finances, and not spend too much.

There are 26 different markets available on Betway, ranging from more popular sports such as football and hockey to less popular ones such as cricket and lacrosse. However, in Colorado, they don’t offer any odds on the growing area of eSports, which is competitive video gaming.

It may not be a massive loss for Betway, but as a growing market, it could cost them some potential customers.

Betway has one of the best customer service and support services available. Why? Because they are operational 24 hours per day, seven days per week. So there is always someone on hand should you need to speak with someone about betting discrepancies, issues with banking, or just general inquiries.

Odds for Betway are quite competitive. For the most part, they are about average in the industry, but one specific feature we did like with Betway’s odds though was that they offer sports boosts on specific events. So, for example, they offered +525 on Christian Pulisic to score any time and USA to win in their World Cup qualifier vs Costa Rica.

This is in contrast to PointsBet, which offers just +519 for the same bet, meaning you could make $6 more on a $100 bet with Betway. It’s only a small amount, but it all adds up.

You also have the option with Betway to cash out bets as they are in-play, another fantastic feature. You, of course, won’t get your full amount for pulling out early, but if you’re worried something could go wrong, then at least you can take the precaution of securing winnings before anything goes wrong.

They claim to be the best, and there is a lot to like about Betway. They have more payment options than most and quicker payout times too. Plus, they offer one of the largest markets.

However, they do miss out on upcoming trending areas like eSports in Colorado and offer a series of poor promotions, especially when compared to the likes of PointsBet, who offer $1,750 more for their risk-free bet.

Nonetheless, being a more established name, they don’t need to pull out all the stops. In addition, there’s always the hope that as time goes on, they up their game and work on the issues outlined.
