Since the passing of Proposition DD in Colorado back in 2019, online sports betting has become huge in the state. It was a slow process with the first sportsbook not launching until 2020, but we’re now in 2022 and there are already a number of reputable sites to check out.
Today, we here at Colorado-Betting will be taking a closer look at Caesars Sportsbook, running you through everything you need to know in a comprehensive review. From the sign-up process and promotions available for new customers, all the way to how you can cash out any winnings you may earn. And, of course, no review would also be complete without checking out odds comparisons and user experience. So, read on for our honest opinion on one of the hottest sportsbooks in Colorado.
Caesars’ Promotions
The big promotion available right now for new customers to Caesars Sportsbook Colorado is a $1,250 bet credit. Yes, you read that correctly. Fifteen hundred dollars to place a bet, without a risk of losing because if you do lose, then you can get up to $1,250 back in bet credit.
Wager up to $1,250 for your first bet. If you don’t win, you’ll get 100% of your stake back as a Bet credit. And win or lose, you’ll also get 1,000 Reward Credits® and 1,000 Tier Credits.
Getting Started
As with any reputable online sportsbook, you’ll have to sign-up and register in order to use the service. This is partly down to legal reasons as Caesars Sportsbook needs to make sure that you’re of legal gambling age, reside in a state where gambling is legal, and it also helps them to detect and prevent money laundering.
The process is as simple as anything too, and you can be ready to go in just three simple steps:
- Enter your main account information such as your name and date of birth;
- Enter your personal details such as an address, password, and security questions. This is also an important step as it’s where you’ll enter any promo codes you may have;
- Confirm that you do wish to register with Caesars Sportsbook and that all the information you have provided is true and correct.
The User Experience
People are ten times more likely to complain about something than they are to praise someone for a job well done. That’s why user experience is so important: if you don’t give the user a good experience in terms of their visit to the site by making it accessible and easy-to-use, or by offering good customer support, it could ruin you as a brand.
Before even trying the site/apps myself, I decided to check out some reviews both from professionals and users who had discussed their experiences of Caesars Sportsbook on places like the App Store.
For the most part, the main complaints were about the quality of the bonuses awarded. They often have extremely high wagering requirements to be able to withdraw winnings, and bonus funds cannot be used before real money. The problem with this is that you’re almost forcing people to lose to get a reward, and that for me isn’t a great user experience.

Caesars Sportsbook Desktop
As for my experience on the site itself, it wasn’t bad. The site seemed responsive and relatively easy to navigate. One issue though is at the top of the page: there is a row of all sports with live events, and it wasn’t that responsive, so I couldn’t see everything available and I struggled to scroll through them. There should at least be some kind of expanded option to be able to see everything.
Caesars Sportsbook App
The app would be my preferred method if I had to pick one. It was incredibly easy to download, and laid out similarly to the website, but with a more responsive display. Because it was all touch screen, I could just touch and drag to filter through lists, and it was only a tap to add bets to my slip where it would compile them together waiting for me to decide whether I wanted to place single lines or multiples.
Caesars Sportsbook Mobile
The mobile web browser was similar to the app, but not as smooth. It did, however, have a better response with touch controls than the official desktop website had for scrolling similar menus. If you’re going to be betting on mobile, the app is definitely the way to go.
Withdrawals, Deposits & Payments Methods at Caesars
When it comes to depositing money into your account, there are a number of ways you can do this:
Payment Method | Details |
---|---|
Caesars Sportsbook Prepaid Play+ Card | A prepaid account card you can use to fund your Caesars Sportsbook account from your credit/debit card |
Credit Card | You can use both a standard credit card or a Caesars Rewards Visa Credit Card if you have one |
Debit Card | A standard bank card, for which you can save your details to your account |
eCheck | ACH/eCheck transactions are available through their payment partner VIP Preferred. |
Online Banking | Allows you to make or receive payments by signing in to online banking without leaving the site |
PayPal | Can be used to fund your account from a verified bank account or existing PayPal balance |
PayNearMe | Cash deposits can also be made to your account at participating PayNearMe CO locations. |
What we particularly like about the deposit system, though, besides the huge offering of options available, is you are able to set yourself deposit limits. This prevents you from being able to deposit more money than you can afford in an allotted time, subsequently helping people who may not know when to stop chasing their losses.
Another positive feature about your deposits is they are securely protected. So, if there were any mishaps for Caesars, such as someone hacking into their accounts, your money is protected. Just like it would be in a standard bank account.
The Fun Part: Taking Money Out
The best part of visiting an online sportsbook is always when you get to withdraw money: the main way to do this when you have funds in your account is digital, whether that be withdrawing money to the account assigned to your debit card, or to a linked PayPal account you may have.
The problem is, whilst deposits are instant, withdrawals are not. It can take up to 72 hours to process some withdrawal methods, and once processed, it could take 2-5 business days to reach your account. This is mainly if you use your debit card or online banking though.
If you choose to be paid out via PayPal or the Caesars Sportsbook Prepaid Play+ Card then payout times are much quicker. In fact, you can sometimes receive them on the same day you cash out.
There is also an extra option to withdraw cash out from a Caesars retail location too as long as you have an ID to prove you are the owner of your account. This is slightly strange since you can’t deposit money the same way. But still, it’s nice to have the option to get your winnings in cold hard cash.

Betting Options
When it comes to the number of available sports to bet on, Caesars Sportsbook isn’t playing around. They offer odds on a number of popular sports from baseball to football, at both professional and college basketball, as well as other international sports including cricket and snooker.
However, it’s not just future events you can bet on like with some online sportsbooks, you can also bet live as well. With the option to make bets on NFL during the game such as who will score the next touchdown, or just who the overall winner might be. So, there are plenty of options in that respect.
The best part is that you aren’t restricted to betting on a computer via your browser, because Caesars Sportsbook has its own apps available on both the Apple and Google Play stores. Meaning you can bet on the go and can access your account from anywhere at any time. As long as you have a stable internet connection of course.
Customer Service and Support
I did a couple of tests with customer support, both using their online chat service and email. Replies were responsive and timely, and the staff that I exchanged conversations with were clearly well trained and happy to help. All good for Caesars Sportsbook, in this respect.
Odds Comparison
When it comes to odds, Caesars Sportsbook is the middle of the road. They’re just about meeting the standards of most of their competitors, but about average overall. Occasionally, you’ll find them offering really good odds on one event, usually if they’re a sponsor of a horse race for example, then other times, their odds can be one of the lowest out there.
There is no rhyme or reason to it really, but that could be due to the fact they have their own in-house oddsmakers. These are the people who evaluate all the data and come up with the predictability of an outcome, and then they assign odds based on all their workings.
Summary
Whilst this Sportsbook may be Caesar in name, I’m not too sure if it came, saw and conquered. It has certainly arrived in the US, and with extremely generous-looking bonuses, it’s clear they are serious about entering the online sportsbook market.
However, with misleading bonuses, average odds, and slow payout times for some more popular methods, there may be a few battles ahead yet before Caesars Sportsbook wins the war.
