Claiming to be the USA’s fastest-growing online sportsbook, we’ll be focusing on PointsBet. This review will cover the sign-up process and promotions available for new customers, payment methods with regard to deposits and withdrawals, as well as looking at betting options, odds comparisons, and the user experience.

PointBet’s Promotions
There are a number of promotions currently available at PointsBet, and the main one they are currently offering could be the reason why they’ve become so popular: With PointsBet Second Chance if your first Fixed-Odds cash bet of the day loses, get a Second Chance in Free Bets.
Any users taking advantage of this offer will of course want to pay attention to the T&C’s that apply, but here’s a quick breakdown. You get $500 back in free bets for your 1st fixed odds bet if it loses, and $1,500 back for PointsBetting if your first bet there loses too. There is currently no end date on this offer, so it could well be a permanent fixture. This brings us to the next promotion.
Referring PointsBet to a friend: Once you are set up, you can then refer a friend too who could take advantage of the above offer. The best part though is that once they place a cash bet of $20, both you and your friend will be rewarded with a $100 free bet. This is another permanent promotion but is capped at $2,500 per year.
Sign-Up Process
The sign-up process is incredibly simple and can be completed in two steps.
- Enter your sign-up code if you have one, along with your full name and email.
- Enter your personal details such as address and social security number to show you are of legal gambling age.
That’s it, you’re done!
User Experience
At Colorado-Betting, we know user experience is key if you want to be successful. If you fail to deliver a positive one, then expect the competition that does a better job to beat you. So, with PointsBet claiming to be the fastest growing online USA sportsbook, we were expecting good things.
Desktop
For the best view, the Desktop is definitely the way to go. They use a cool dark theme that really makes things pop out and easy to find. Navigation is extremely simple too, it’s so easy to complete your sport betting online, finding events or specific sports you want to bet on.
What I really like though, is in their featured and live games sections, they will show the games available, and the main odds for backing a team. However, they also let you know how many other wagers are available on that game. Letting you know how much is on offer, without needing to scroll through it all to check everything out.
App
There are two apps available, one on the Google Play store, and the other on Apple’s App Store. We checked out the Android app specifically, as that was the type of device we were rocking with.
The app was as impressive as the desktop website. PointsBet have clearly invested in their software, and it almost seems like a seamless transition from one to the other. I do like the larger display on the desktop, but there is nothing on the app that doesn’t work as well as it does on the website. The only issue is the smaller display, and the fact I couldn’t zoom in, although there are settings on my phone to solve that.
Mobile
Mobile again was a pleasant experience, and the one advantage it had over the app, was that I could zoom in and out for smaller texts. Plus, if anything was missing, I couldn’t find anything that was, I can always swap to a desktop browser on my phone to get it.

Withdrawals, Deposits, and Payment Methods
There are a number of payment methods available for both deposits and withdrawals at PointsBet, although they are more limited in Colorado than in other states. But there are still plenty of options available:
Payment Option | Min Deposit | Max Deposit | Processing Time |
Online Banking | $10.00 | $10,000 | Instant |
PayNearMe | $10.00 | $500.00 | Instant |
PayPal | $5.00 | No limit | Instant |
ACH/eCheck | $10.00 | $50,000 | Instant |
Credit/Debit Card | $5.00 | $50,000 | Instant |
When it comes to withdrawing funds the options are further limited:
Payment Option | Min Withdrawal | Maw Withdrawal | Processing Time |
Online Banking | $10.00 | None | 1-3 Days |
PayPal | $10.00 | None | 30 Mins |
ACH/eCheck | $10.00 | None | 2-4 Days |
Plus, their withdrawal times are much quicker in terms of processing times than their competitors too. Online banking withdrawals take 1-2 business days to process internally. Once processed by PointsBet, it takes an additional 1-3 business days for the funds to reach your bank account.
While PointsBet Colorado may have more limited choices than some other sportsbooks in Colorado, they offer only 100% reliable services. Services that can help protect not just themselves, but also offer the most protection to its users such as the ability to set deposit limits to combat problem gambling.
Betting Options/Markets
There are 22 different markets available on PointsBet, ranging from baseball and basketball to soccer and tennis. There’s also live betting, with the capacity to stream some events so you can keep a close eye on the action as it unfolds.
The depth to the betting seems great. For an English Premier game, you can bet on the winner, as well as the min/max number of goals, winners at half and full time, you name it. PointsBet really do offer a good number of options.

Customer Service and Support
Need to get in touch with someone to resolve a problem? Well, one great feature of PointsBet is they have a live chat system. Best of all, you don’t speak to a robot, but to an actual human on the other side. This makes resolving any issues a piece of cake. I spent a little time chatting with one of their staff members, and they were very helpful.
I also sent an email off for a general inquiry, and despite being advised it could take up to 48 hours to receive a reply, I got one back on the same day. Excellent and speedy service to say the least.
Odds Comparison
The odds given out by PointsBet were definitely competitive. Comparing them in one game for the Denver Nuggets vs the Indiana Pacers, both sportsbooks offered +350 for the Pacers on the Moneyline bet. However, they often beat many of their rivals. For example, in the Orlando Magic vs Washington Wizards game, PointsBet offered +135 on the Moneyline, compared to Caesars Sportsbook which only offered +130.
But what impressed us most was their request a bet section, that allows you to request what you want. So if they don’t offer it right away, they can create a custom bet just for you. Very handy if you want to put some wacky combos together that sportsbooks may not have thought about offering odds on.
Summary
We’ve said multiple times already, that PointsBet claims to be the fastest-growing online US sportsbook. Now we believe and can see why that is. Excellent promotions, quick and easy signups, compared with fast payout times, plus a good number of markets available including their request a bet feature, what’s not to like? The only thing is that soon competitors may get wind of this and decide to start matching them on their odds and services. So can PointsBet keep it up? We’ll see.
