Major Update for the 2023 MLB Season

This Major League Baseball season marks a milestone, as all 30 teams will be playing series against each other for the first time ever. This has been seen as an opportunity to further interest in the sports and teams, particularly through the chance to watch star players from opposing leagues come to their city’s ballpark over the course of two years.

Rockies fans in particular should mark mid-June on their calendars when the Angels come to Coors Field and show off their star-studded lineup. Additionally, this format can similarly help teams struggling within competitive divisions such as the National League West.

The NL West Division has been highly competitive as of late, with the Los Angeles Dodgers coming off an extensive 111-win 2019 campaign, which was preceded two years prior by the San Francisco Giants’ 107-win season. Not to be outdone, last fall witnessed the San Diego Padres prevail over the Dodgers in the NLDS and solidify their first NLCS berth since 1998.

Amidst all this success lies the Arizona Diamondbacks, who possess a talented roster full of promising youngsters that could have them contending for a playoff spot come 2023.

Colorado Rockies Odds 2023

The Rockies emerged from a long and grueling 68-win season in 2022, finishing in last place in the NL West. Despite the challenging circumstances, Rockies betting markets looking ahead to 2023 with optimism. The return of Kris Bryant from injury will provide the team with a great offensive boost, as well as improved continuity at third base.

However, oddsmakers aren’t expecting too much from Colorado. According to FanDuel, the Rockies are currently listed at +30000 to win the 2023 World Series, which is the second-lowest odds of any team in MLB. Colorado’s divisional rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres remain one of the favorites with odds of +750 and +1000 respectively.

Meanwhile, the Rockies are listed at +18000 to win the NL West title on DraftKings. Their regular season Over/under win is set at 65.5 and they are +2500 to make the playoffs. It looks like an uphill climb for the Rockies in 2023, but with a healthy roster and the new MLB schedule format, the Rockies still has a “chance”.
